At my daughters 12th birthday party everyone had a blast. We had 7 girls over, 8 including my daughter. The party didn't have a theme,but it had parts of themes. Everything was polka dotted. There was a survivor part. And at the end it was a campfire themed party. My daughter and her girlfriends went swimming for a while why I set up the survivor part of the party. When I was finished setting up we had all the girls come over and we seperated into 2 teams red and blue. The game was a huge obstical course with 12 challenges. Each team had 4 girls in it. All the obsticals were numbered 1-4. Each girl would do 3 challenges. Each girl would get a number 1,2,3,or 4. For my daughters party some of the challenges we did were - Soccer shoot-out, Waterballon toss,Diving rings,Pie Eating contest,Horseshoes, Basketball, Apple bobbing. That is some of what we did. Do whatever fits with you.You can make 12 new activities if you would like. For example: If you don't have access to a pool to do diving rings you can do something other than that.  Each girl got her own bandana. We had to buy 4 blue and 4 red.After Girl 1 completed her challange she would run to girl 2 and tag her hand. But girl 1 would not give girl 2 her bandana. Girl 1 would be going to challenge 5. Girl 2 does the same thing. We labeled each activity the order it was in.So the soccer shoot-out was labeled 1 because that was the first game.Thing the next we labeled 2.Then 3 and so on. On each girls hand we wrote down what challenges they were doing. For girl 1 we wrote on her hand 1,5,and 9. For girl 2 we wrote 2,6,10 and so on.  Now...The winning team. The winning team of 4 would split up into 2 teams of 2. This time each person would have to do one challenge. Each person on the team does one of there chioce. One trick. The two they choice can't be next to each other. Like if one girl on one team decides she wants to do challenge 1 the other girl on the team of two can't choose challenge 2. The two teams are competing against each other. The team that finishes both challenges first gets the grand prize! Prizes: For the losing team of 4 we gave each of them a 8 pack of gum. For the losing team of 2 we gave both of them a Big candy bar. The grand prize for the winning team of 2 we gave the each a $10.00 gift card to Target.   After all that the girls jumped back into the pool until dark. Then when the girls all decided it was time to get out we started a campfire in the backyard.The girls had S'mores. Later that night they played flashlight tag. That night they slept out in a tent. Make sure you ask the parent and the guest if they mind sleeping outside in a tent. The next morning everyone had waffles for breakfast. This party is definatly worth your time. It is very fun and the kids have a blast!
