The Game Show Party 13 Years Old:  For my 13th birthday, I had a Game Show Party!! I was the host, Alana Mrabeck (Alan Trabeck).  I dressed up in a suit with a gray wig and moustach.  I invited 3 people and I set up 3 podiums. they were big pieces of cardboard, painted gold. In silver in the middle of the podium was "TGS" to stand for The Game Show. I set up a matching podium for me, too.  I put up silver and gold balloons.  Next, in the background, I set up a sheet that was painted with a gold and silver "TGS".  Finally, I set up a game board like Jeopardy on my dry erase board that had money in each square. There was a Post-It note on each square with the question on the back of it. When someone would ask a question, I would take the post it note off the board and read it to the person. It looked a lot like a real game show! Invitations were gold and silver, and they invited people to particpate in The Game Show.  Then it had the place, date, time, etc.  When the guests came, we gave them backstage passes to The Game Show that would allow them to come backstage for food in the breaks. After a tour of the "studio", we started the game.  We had a tape recording of a jingle that we made using a drum set.  We started off the show by having each guest tell a little about themselves, like on Jeopardy. The guests started a lightening round. The question was about me. It was "What is my favorite school subject and what is my least?" The first person to call out the correct answers went first, the person to their left went second, and the person to their left went last. Then, we played the game.  Questions were about me, celebrities, our school, etc.  Some questions were "How many rooms are in our school?" or "What other pet was Alana Mrabeck (aka me) going to get?" and so forth. At the end, everyone got as much play money as they won in the game show. Then, they got to go to our "store" where there were items such as notebooks, pens, pencils, bouncy balls, lipi gloss, etc. that they could buy for their goody bags.  We had breaks every now and then and for dinner we had pizza, dessert was cake with a big "TGS" logo, and breakfast was donuts and cereal. The goody bags were what they bought in our "store". Everyone at my party said that they loved it, and it certainly was a fun party!
