Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? For my daughter's 9th birthday, we decided to have a Who Wants to be a Millionaire birthday party. So, I go on-line and downloaded a copy of the millionaire
logo. I placed that on the front of the invitation. Upon arrival the girls met "Regis Fill-in" (sounds like Philbin) and my husband filled in for Regis who was unable to make it. He
wore a suit and played the game show host. I used Disney trivia, plus personal trivia about my daughter to make up the questions. They started at $500 and worked their way up...they had their
3 life lines which included, someone at the party they could ask, look something up in the dictionary, or call a teacher from school (which I pre-arranged). You know teachers know the answers
to everything!! Anyway, we made it so that the girls pretty much called different teachers from school or parent or grandparent and had them ask the million dollar question. It was hilarious!
The girls had a great time! We just put the person on the speaker phone and it sounded just like Millionaire! We had the girl ask the question to whomever she was calling! It was great! They
all screamed and cheered for the person when they got it right! Walgreen's sells 1,000,000 dollar bills, so I had bought one for each girl, made up a fake big check out of poster board for
each one of them. It was so fun AND the girls learned a lot! We had a cake made looking like a million dollars with my daughter's face on the front on the bill. Goodie bags consisted of gold
coins, bubblegum checkbooks that they have out now, and pens and pencils that look like they are wrapped in dollar bills! It was a hit! Regis Philbin would have been proud of Regis
Fillin!
