Who Wants to be a Millionaire?
My eight year old son loves this show so much we decided to use it for our birthday theme. Here are some of the ideas I had: We designed our invitations on the computer using a letter format telling each child that in honor of Nathan's (my son) birthday they have been chosen as a contestant on the game show. I decorated the room using white Christmas lights around the doorways and windows. I also used a blinking strobe light. I used an overhead projector I borrowed from the church and wrote all the questions and answers on transparencies. I outlined the "screen" (wall) with chasing white lights. Each child was given a notepad to answer an easy question. All correct answers were placed in a drawing to choose the contestant. Monopoly money was given out. Questions got progressively harder and they had the three lifelines. The children had a ball! They talked about it for weeks. Of course my husband dressed as "Regis". The cake was white with 1,000,000 written in green. Very inexpensive party!
