Garden Party! This theme focuses more on the activities than the plates & such. All the utensils/plates/cups/napkins can be of several bright colors. Party can be started w/all
the children given their own little terra cotta clay pot to decorate to their choosing w/paints & such. As they are left to dry, they can play a game of "Pin the Ladybug on the
Flower". Then, provide individual flowers or plants for each child to be able to plant in there own little clay pot. Each child would receive a mini gunny sack tied w/raffia ribbon &
filled with little goodies, like candy, flower shaped magnets, & bug pins. Of course, the cake could come in a variety of designs-window box w/candy flowers on stems, or even a
sheet cake cut in the shape of a big daisy.-The ideas on that are nearly endless. Top it off w/all the children receiving cookie pops-cookies cut w/cutters in the shape of flowers
& painted to coordinate.
They can be set in a pretty pot filled with floral foam & arranged in a cookie bouquet. Add moss or even the shredded material used in Easter baskets to accent the pot. Some variations: plain gardening gloves for everyone-that can be decorated by each child. Or even gardening aprons for each one-also available to be decorated by each child. Adding a package of flower seed with each goodie bag. This party could be held at a garden, itself-to add to the theme. I know I could go on & on with this one!
