Classroom Halloween Party I took bordered paper and copied off one colored sheet in black print on white paper and then did up the invite on plain white paper with black print and then
transferred it the bordered paper once then on to orange paper for the invites. So you have a black boarder and black print on orange paper.
The invites says in Spider Font - Spooky Menu. This menu consist of Vampire Blood (Punch). Slime balls (caramel and apples). Spider Traps (Rice Crispy Bars with a plastic spider ring). Creepy Crawler (Jell-O with gummy worms). Ghost - sucker with napkin wrapped around it - tied and dotted two black eyes. Grave digger (spoon). Of course if using this for a party you could add more items - like Witches fingers (chicken strips), Pitch Fork (fork) and so on. The kids had to pick what they wanted but only knew the Halloween name - such as the Grave Digger, they didn't know that the Grave Digger was a spoon. I put these in Halloween envelopes I picked up from Office Max and delivered one to each child. I attached a Halloween stencil to go with and I had gotten a Gross of them at Oriental Trading. I attached them by using rubber cement - which makes it easy to peal off. The invites went out about a week in advance. Time/Date/Location (room). This way the anticipation of the party would be more exciting. The result of picking their own menu was done by everyone but two children - they boldly picked all the items on the menu! They were served the Vampires blood out of a bubbling cauldron. The food was very Halloween looking. We set up the table with table cloth/and I put out glow in the dark teeth to accompany their food on Halloween plates and Halloween cups. We did a craft - which used the Bow Tie macaroni that I spray painted black and added two little white fangs by dipping white paint on to toothpick ends. You also use a round tube type of macaroni that was painted black (this is the body of the bat and also the piece I put the fangs on). We glued and tied them together with rust color raffia which then you can hang them. We added wiggly eye balls for the eyes. Now mind we only have 45 minutes for a party - the kids ate their goodies and the party was over, but the fun was having them wait a week prior to the party and think about what Vampries Blood was and Spider Traps and so on. The mom's were totally amazed. Each room mother helped bring an item - that I would explain. A little different than regular parties where you pick and choose what you want to bring. To make it affective you need the certain foods and done in a certain way. If you have more time could do some games like pass the pumpkin under the chin or Bingo - that you can print off cards from kidsdomain.com (each time you refresh the screen the numbers change) then use candy pieces as markers. Everyone had a Howling Good Time.
