Pumpkin Patch Party Since my daughter's birthday is in October we decided to have a pumpkin Patch Party for her 3rd birthday. For her invitation my husband scanned the napkin (cute
little pumpkin faces) to make the background of the invitation like a pumpkin patch. In the backyard under the trees we had 15 real pumpkins and 15 plastic pumpkins to make a pumpkin
patch, along with a scarecrow, and balloons. We also had tablecloths, napkins, plates and cups that had cute little pumpkin faces on them.
Activities of the day: Pin the Steam on the pumpkin each kid got a green steam with their name on it and had to pin the steam on the pumpkin blind folded. Bone Hunt- I got two plastic skeletons from the dollar store and took them apart. We placed the bones all around the pumpkin patch and had the kid hunt for the bones. They then had to put the skeleton back together will all the bones they found. Guts Grape- I made in advance 3 pounds of spaghetti and colored it green with food coloring. In a deep large pot I placed the spaghetti covered with olive oil (to make is slimy) along with colored gumballs and eyeball gumballs (with the wrapper on). The kids had to reach in the guts and grab out only an eyeball. They had to keep trying until they had the eyeball. This was so fun!!! (Place a lot of colored gumballs and only one-eyeball gumballs for each kid) Face Painting- I had my 2 older nieces take care of the face painting they painted pumpkins, bats, and ghost on the kids face. Mummy Wrap- I got a lot of toilet paper and each kid got a chance to be wrapped and to wrap another kid like a mummy. Caramel Apples-I got caramel apple wraps (this was very easy for the kids) you just wrap the caramel sheet around the apple and stick in the stick. Pumpkin Picking and drawing- each kid got to run to the pumpkin patch and pick out a real pumpkin and then draw a face on it with makers. They got to take the pumpkin home to carve with there parents. Plastic pumpkin picking- each kid got to run back into the pumpkin patch and pick out a plastic pumpkin to but their candy in for the piņata. Pumpkin Piņata I got a pumpkin piņata filled it up with candy and the kids had fun trying to open it with a stick. The day was wonderful, the kids had a great time doing all the different games For each kid to take home they got- -The real pumpkin they picked out of the pumpkin patch -The plastic pumpkin filled with the candy from the piņata -A book called the pumpkin patch -Skeleton hand (rubber clove filled with candy corns in each finger and popcorn, with a bat ring)
