For my sons 6TH birthday we decided to have a haunted house and hay ride (his birthday is a week after Halloween). I made up invitations on my computer with a witch and a crystal ball and in the ball it read: Predict a howling good time at tevins birthday party. Come in your scariest costume and meet me and my ghostly friend at 5:oo pm on Oct. 30 2000 my haunted house is at (address) then in big letters come if you dare. We put a cardboard coffin in the eating room it had all the snack food like home made chocolates and cut out cookies then we had the table decorated with a Halloween table cloth and the (blood) punch on the table with Halloween forks and knives. We had spider webs every where and decoration up. We put white sheets on all the furniture. Then we had all the kids go to every room in the house one at a time (about 5 rooms and I was dressed up as the witch on the invitations) and in the first room we had dad dressed up as GI Joe in the 2nd room was a monster as was with the 3 and 4 (all rooms were dark with black lights and the kids that we're scared took off there masks) and in the last room was Barbie and minie mouse (in every room the kids got some thing to put in there bag (that I gave them before they went in the 1st room) then Barbie and minnie directed the kids outside right on they hayride. Once all the kids were on, GI Joe took them around the yard. (which the kids loved and were yelling for another ride so of course he did) Then we had someone in a mask come and take the birthday boy off the hayride and he took him in to the house and we got him ready to open up presents. (my son knew ahead of time that Joe was in a mask and going to take him) then the kids got off the hay ride (worried to what happened to there friend) and I directed them to the room were tevin was which they were happy to still see him alive. He opened gifts and we did cake all the kids loved it they said it was the best birthday party they had ever been to and our son said thanks it was perfect before he went to bed that night.
