This year will be my sons first birthday and were having a Halloween party. Since his birthday is October 27th. We started off with in invitations I went to a crafts store and bought scrap
book Halloween paper and printed them out on the computer and took white envelops and
neon orange ink and wrote the addresses and clear spider stickers. We rented a hall and will decorate it with spiders webs scarecrows and spiders hanging from the ceiling which were made out of t-paper rolls and black construction paper and fishing line tied to the ceiling to make them look like there flying. Went everyone starts to come in they will be asked to give a dollar and an entry form and be asked to vote for there best costume. To make it fair the one with the most votes gets the money. For his cake I am gonna make a huge sheet cake and take green frosting and make 2 bunt cakes and put one on top of each other and decorate it to look like a pumpkin and a ice cream cone as the stem.( I used white cake mix and made half orange and half black and made it to look like a marble cake)So when I cut it , it stayed with the theme. For the tables I took orange and black table cloths and used Halloween cookie cutters and cut out the shapes and colored them in with glow in the dark paint. For the center pieces I took tootsie pops and 4 black pipe cleaners to make them look like spiders. And foam balls and cheese cloth dipped in starch and let to dry take them off and they will stand by them selves. We also filled clear latex gloves and filled them with popcorn and candy corns for nails tied the them and put them fingers up in a bowl. For games we can play musical tombstones make tombstones out of paper bags and have the kids put them over there heads or hold them in front of them when they get out they become part of the cemetery. This way they are still part of the game.(when playing this game have kids remove mask and parts of costumes that will make them fall) Next have two adults hold a string and put plain donuts on them and the first child to eat the donut with out making it fall to the ground wins. And next because this is for a 1 year old we wanted it to stay non scary. So I found music like "Elmo says Boo" and "Halloween Howls" Which is for the older ones but still not to scary. I also found at the Disney Store Mickey and Company Pumpkin Carve outs. Well good luck and hope I helped someone like you all have helped me.
