HALLOWEEN HAUNTED HOUSE BIRTHDAY PARTY
When my son turns 10 I am going to do a Haunted House birthday party (because his bd falls on the 29th of October). INTIVTES: They will be asked to come in a Halloween costume. It will start out with home-made invites that say our (last name) Haunted House. Standing in the middle of the twenty two hundred block (our street), you find yourself starting at (our address) known to all as the (Last Name) House! Tonight is October 29th, All Hallow's Eve, AKA Halloween. The night rumored to be the spookiest night of the year. When all ghastly ghouls and evil come together for one big fright feats. (I got this idea from a detailed web site that describes the haunted house in CA). It is about 2 1/2 pages long. It will go on to give details of things they will find as they enter the yard and tell about the HH. It tells about going to the house, walking up the drive way, what they see in the yard and finally the front of the HH. Such as 12 pumpkins, and gravesites with their names and cute little saying like U.B.NEXT, IZZY DEDYET, M.T.TOMB, C.U.Soon. Sign the invites with It's Halloween and I'm sending you my best Witches. In front of the house will be a huge back spider made out of garbage bags and in his spider web. A cauldron will be outside with all the stuff in it and a witch to open the door. DECORATIONS: As they come in there will be (something scary) in the card board coffin. Then they will go into the chemistry lab (food items) such as eyeballs, intestines, liver, skin, fingers, teeth, hair, brains, hand and bones. Crushing bones like pretzels under a rug. Black light of course. Of course there will also be scary music like "It's Hallowee-en" which is noted in their invite. Prepare them for the scare. ACTIVITY: Then they will move on and go through a maze with hanging bats, bat eyes that light up. Then we will move on to the section with bones hanging. As they move on there will be a trick section to where someone will grab them with their hand. Of course there will lots of spider and one that moves across the floor. Going to have a ghost hanging from a string that every time the door opens it moves. Each kid will be handed a Halloween flash light to guide them through the maze. (Also one of their favors). FOOD: (table decorations) Then they will exit the door into the house. Which will have a Halloween theme decorated and where the food will be. Halloween print table cloth with juice that will have dried ice in a pumpkin. Cake that oozes out what looks like blood. Jell-O that looks like a brain, Hoboblin Stew and Mummy cookies. Punch always have a special name like Bug juice. You do ice cubes and put raisins in them and it looks like a bug in your drink or Witch's Brew - Ghostly Green Brew. A little black coffin filled with candy. Black and orange balloons. GOODIE BAG: Goodie bags are traditional little Halloween cellophane and then Halloween pencils, Halloween erasers, pumpkin tic tac toe, shoe ties that one goes on each shoe lace. Plus candy, candy, candy. GAME: Game is used with Halloween candy. They can't say anything like: witch, ghost, pumpkin or they have to give back a piece of candy for each time they goof. The one with the most candy, wins a prize (something spooky of course). Hopefully not toooo scary the end!
