Scarecrow Party My daughter was turning 12 and has an October birthday, we have done hayrides, Halloween Costume parties, etc... for her birthday and wanted to do something different
this year. We decided on a scarecrow making party. Each girl (15 of them) were asked to bring an old pair of jeans and an old shirt. We supplied hay for the stuffing,
pumpkins for the heads and straw hats, along with patches pre-cut and fabric glue, and many other "accessories" for their personalized scarecrow.
The girls had a blast making their own scarecrows and at this age they were able to do them without much help from adults. The girls also had an apple bobbing race. We ended with a bonfire and roasting hot dogs and marshmellows, and pumpkin birthday cake! It was a perfect fall birthday party for some almost teenagers!!
