Kids Birthday
Party Supplies

For my sons thrid birthday we decided to have a Harry Potter Party. I started the planning months ahead a time. I ordered the dinner plates, table cloth, silverware, streemers, balloons, invitation, and favor boxes from Birthdayexpress two months ahead of time so if there were any problems I could send it back.   For the decorations I made a welcome to Hogwarts sign that I hung on the front door. I took a piece of cardboard and painted it red and then in gold I wrote Welcome To Hogwarts. I also made floating candles that I hung from the celling.  I took white paper and rolled it to look like a candle. Then I attached yellow foam flames to the top of the paper.  Finally I hung them all over the celling with fishing line so they looked like they were floating in the air.  For the kids table I had a Harry Potter table cloth, Harry Potter dinner plates, blue silverware, green placemates, Harry Potter napkins, and plastic goblets for each kid.  I bought the goblets at the dollar store around Halloween. I also had a Harry Potter Happy Birthday sign hanging on the wall behind the table and a blue, green, or orange ballon tied to each kids chair. The birthday boy got a Harry Potter Mylar balloon that I bought from BirthdayExpress.   I had another table set up with wizard hats and Harry Potter glasses for each kid.  The wizards hats were the cheapest party hats I could find with black or blue paper stapled over top of the hat to hide the design.  I had foam star stickers and crayons on the table for the kids to decorate there hats however they wanted.  It kept them busy until everyone got there. Once everyone arrived we had lunch witch was snakes,(corsonts unrolled and placed side by side with the edges pintched together and then stuffed with pizza toppings and then pinched the ends and sides together and shaped like a snake. They even had olive eyes and pepper tounges.) I served them with spagettii sauce on the side.  We also had a salad for the adults and carrot sticks with dip for the kids along with chips, pretzels and chocolate frogs that I made prior to the party. After lunch we played find the snakes and spiders. I hide plastic snakes and spiders that I found at the dollar store around the house and whoever found the most won a prize.  We also played dig for your prize.  Witch was three buckets filled with sand that had an owl, glow stick, and Harry Potter stickers for each child hiden inside for them to find. I also hid a golden snitch (yellow ball) in one of the buckets and witch ever child found it got a special prize. The kids loved this game because they all won something.  Next the birthday boy opened his gifts and then we had cake and icecream.  His grandma made the cake.  It was a round chocolate cake with Hagrids hut on top. She backed cake inside of a metal can for the hut and then shaped a piece of cake for the roof. She had Harry Potter flying around the top of the hut on his broom. (Harry Potter cake topper that was attached to a piece of wire) There was a rock path (pop rocks) leading to the house with Herminey on it. It also had a pumpkin patch on the side of the hut.  It was so cute. After cake and icecream I gave each kid there treat bags. Each one had a lightning bolt tattoo, Harry Potter blower, a glow in the dark lollypop,(BirthdayExpress) a chocolate lollie pop shaped like a wizard hat or coldrain that I made, and every flavor jelly beans that I got from the Jelly Belly store.  There was vomit, soap, and even booger flavored beans in each box along with regular flavored ones. The kids got a kick out of these and so did the adults.  The party was a great success and everyone had a good time.  Some of the kids are still asking me how I got the candles to float from the celling.
