Hey! My best friend is turning 11 years old, and she wanted a Potter party! So, I told her that I surfed on the net and found some ideas, but she didn't seem to like any of them. So I decided to make up my own. Below, there are some ideas for your Harry Potter party:  Invitations-Get regular paper, blank and with no lines, and cut slits on the edges. Get some glue and role the top part up, and say that they are invited to Hogwarts. In other words, copy down the letter that Harry got in book #1. Then write where, when etc. Send them to your guests! Activities-Here is a way to play Quidditch: Gather your guests and take them outside. Have a table ready to make brooms on. Have all the guests find long straight sticks, and some medium sized sticks. Get the longer stick, and tape, or glue the littler sticks on one end. Next, you need to make goalposts for the players. Get six long heavy pipes, or sticks, and make them stand up from the ground. Now get six hula-hoops(found at dollar tree)and duck-tape them to the sticks or pipes. Now get styrofoam balls(small)and spray-paint them gold. Put white feathers on each side of the 'Snitch.'  You can either buy two big bouncy balls for Quaffles, or you can make them. When your done, have your guests aboard their brooms, and play Quidditch! 'The Feast'-Buy simple things, like plastic cauldron's or fake-gold platters. Put chicken on a platter or regular plate, and Chocolate pudding in a cauldron for dessert. You can put more things on the table though too! Like french fries, roast and cookies! Enjoy! Clothing-Make sure you sorted your guests into their houses to make these robes! Get some long black fabric and green, red, purple, and blue pieces of fabric. Cut the black fabric into robe shapes so that the guests can wear them. Now have your guests cut out the symbol of Hogwarts, and make sure they put their house name on the colored piece of fabric. Slytherin,Gryffindore, Hufflepuff, or Ravenclaw. Your all set to go to Hogwarts for plenty of lessons now! Lessons-For Care of Magical Creatures, have each of your guests pick their favorite magical animal. Then you tell them a little about that animal. For potions, get sugar, chocolate pudding, and sprinkles. Also have little cauldrons. Tell them to first put the chocolate pudding ino the cauldron, and sprinkle sugar and colored sprinkes on top. Then watch them 'test' their potion! See ya time-When it's time to send your guests back for the 'holidays' give them each a treat bag. You can put broom shaped cookies in it, gummy worms, cauldron cakes(cupcakes)and magic wands(buy them at dollar tree). And say good-bye until next year!
