Star Party for my sons 3rd birthday.
Invitations read: "Come be a star (but a raised glittery star that my child painted not the word)at _____'s birthday party!" At the party there are four stations: 1) "Be a Hollywood Star" where the children paint, decorate, and/or place their handprint on their own "Walk of Fame" star (a large star cutout from posterboard). 2)"Be a Rock Star" where all my child's musical instruments and microphone are placed and each child receives a star-shaped pair of sunglasses. 3) "Be a 5-Star Chef" where each child makes their own star-shaped pizzas and decorates star-shaped cookies. 4) "Be a Shooting Star" where each child gets to shoot the basketball into the basket and receives a shooting star magnet made from small wooden stars and thin pipe cleaners sticking out one side, as well as, an instant sticker picture of the child taken at the party in the middle. For loot bags: small white canvas tote bags covered with adhesive-backed felt stars in various colors (found at Oriental Trading Company website) filled with star-shaped stickers, star-shaped cookie cutters and playdough, and the other items received at the party. For the cake: Star-shaped mini cakes--one for each child. Decorations: star garland in different colors and cutout stars of different sizes and colors hanging here there and everywhere! Most popular compliment: "Very creative, different, and fun"
