This is going to be my sweet 16 party, so I wanted to make it extra special for myself, and my friends. Now, normally I just have the type of party where we sit around and eat pizza and throw water balloons, so this year, since I'm turning 16, I decided to try out having a "themed" party. The theme of this party is called "the stars of the red carpet". I have to keep it cheap, so I decided that for decorations, i'm just going to get some black, and silver streamers, and also some christmas lights from the attic, and hang them around the rooms that we'll be in my house, and outside on the deck. For the entryway, i'm going to buy some red fabric, and just make a short "red carpet" (probably about 2 yards) up to my front door. There will be a huge table (extra card tables added onto the end of my normal table) that will be convered with white and silver table cloths, candles, and our good china. The invitations are something really awesome. All I did was type up in Microsoft word, and invitation that says "You have been invited to the 16th annual (and then my name and "awards" sideways and in bold ink with stars surrounding it) Jenessa awards! Come to the show dressed like a celebrity (formal wear) for a night of fun, music, (etc. etc)." Since this party can't be too large, i've decided to invite just about 15 or less close friends. So when everybody arrives, we will listen to music, and let everyone get aquainted for a half an hour, and then dinner starts. There will be 3 courses. The first one will be salad and bisquits (these are really cheap and work well) the second I will have my dad make either steak and chicken, or shishkabobs on the grill. The 3rd course is dessert, which will be the cake. so then we all eat cake, and i'll open presents. After that is over, we go into the family room, and I have a game that we'll all play. (it's a celebrity game) The first person to guess the name on thier back wins first place, second person second, and third person third prize. then when everybody has finished, I will stand up and announce the winners, and they'll come and get thier prizes (fake diamond necklace first place, movie tickets second, and a candy bar third) then comes the movie. we turn off all the lights, and turn on the christmas lights, and I'm thinking that we will just lounge around and watch some old black and white movie like Casablanca. and then we will just talk and dance and listen to music until everybody goes home.
