Hollywood Party:
For my daughters 5th birthday we had a Hollywood Party. I made invitations on the computer that has a graphic of a theater sign (saying) (Last Name) Pictures presents Alyssa's 5th birthday staring you as her guest!!! ShowTime - (with time of party) Place (Lastname Studios) including address etc. I put be sure to wear your Hollywood Sunglasses on the invitation When each child arrived wearing their glasses I took their picture. Then I bought decorations such as stars and movie cameras. I even had a red carpet at front door for when the arrived. (which was a plastic table cloth) I decorated the table with a red table cloth and had confetti stars all over it. I even had directors clapboard placecards for each child. For the food I made a star cake. I served star finger sandwiches. (Using a star cookie cutter) and Pop corn of course. We played guess whose sunglasses I put all the kids sunglasses in a brown bag I pulled one pair out at a time asking whose glasses are these. I let the kids make a craft ( Using black construction paper placed a silver star in the middle(prepared ahead of time. Then I let the kids sign the construction paper and put their hands in white paint then place their hands on the paper( just the movie stars do!!) For favors I bought pop corn boxes and filled them up with a bag of pop corn and candy. The kids have fun and so did I. It was a nice to do something different.
