Icecream Social  For my daughters communion party we had an  icecream social at our home. We cleaned out the garage and attached a tent we rented. For decorations I made signs with pictures of sundaes, rootbeer floats, creampuffs and placed them above each station with humorous ideas on how to make each one. I went to GFS and purchased toppings, fudge, cones, bowls, etc. and had curled ribbon around each container to make it festive. I placed old fashioned napkin holders on each table and an old fahioned straw dispencer by the rootbeer float station. Each invitaion I had stamped a double scooped icecream cone and embossed it to make it shiny like the real thing. The invitaions really set the tone for a fun party and each family received a paper icream cone filled with candies as they left with a tag that read "Because your so sweet- I thank you with these treats". Now some of my guests are using the same theme and ideas for their childrens parties.
