I had an Ice Cream Party theme for my 3 year old daughter.
The invitation read: I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream. Join us at Lauren's Ice Cream Parlor. date, time, place, etc. I found ice-cream cups with matching spoons at the dollar store and the kids made their own sundaes with a variety of toppings to choose from and they kept the bowl and cup as souvenirs and I put them a bag with a sticker on them that said "Thank you for visiting Lauren's Ice Cream Parlor" and also included was a card with ice-cream facts. For the smaller kids I also found small ice-cream cone sippy cups and for the adults I bought edible waffle bowls. For decorations I used a plane white plastic table cloth and decorated with ice cream cone pictures and sundae pictures I printed on my computer and used contact paper to stick to table cloth, I also found an ice-cream cone banner at the party store and made a giant ice-cream cone out of a paper ball you hang from the ceiling (party store) and made the cone out of Kraft paper. I bought plastic drop cloth from the dollar store and put underneath the toddler table and chairs to catch any spills. I also made a sign for the yard, it was an ice cream sundae with the word welcome that I printed on my computer, cut out and laminated it and put it in the yard with balloons. I also made directional signs out of the same design and tied balloons with it so that people would know where to turn. At the end of the party, everyone took a group picture and I sent it with the thank you cards which read: Heaps of Thanks on the outside with an ice-cream cone with a cherry on top and on the inside it read: "with a cherry on top". The kids had a ball and the adults talked about it for days!
