For my daughter's 4th birthday we had an Ice Cream Party. I printed invitations on the computer with difference ice cream clip art as a border. It started out with, "I Scream,
You Scream, Please Join us for Ice Cream at Brianna's Ice Cream Parlor". I really couldn't find any ice cream related paper goods for the party, so I bought some solid
"sherbet" colored plates in orange, green, and pink.
We served an ice cream punch along with our regular appetizers as everyone arrived. One game we played was "Pin the Cherry on the Ice Cream Cone". I made a big ice cream cone out of colored poster boards and just cut out red circles for the cherries. We also had an ice cream "Guess the Flavor" game. You could also attempt to make Ice Cream in the baby food jars, but I didn't venture to do it at my party. We even had adult games. The adults had to match the Ben and Jerry flavors to their descriptions. (Harder than it sounds). They also had to number the Ben and Jerry's top 10 best selling flavors. I found this info on the Ben and Jerry website. The adult prizes were ice cream scoops. The favors for the party were glass ice cream dishes - like they have at an ice cream parlor. Each child received one with a colorful spoon wrapped in a see-through gift bag and tied with a little note that says, "Thank you for visiting Brianna's Ice Cream Parlor". Of course, the party ended with an enormous ice cream buffet which included everything from candy to toppings to waffle cones, sugar cones, waffle bowls, etc. My family wants to make the ice cream buffet a standard fixture at all of my parties. To finish off it off, I found paper in the shape of ice cream cones and send thank you notes on that. We had a very nice party.
