For my son's second birthday, we had a monkey party.
It all stared with the cake. It was a monkeys in the jungle" cake that was found in a Family Fun magazine. The cake was made entirely of candy. The tree & monkeys were made of tootsie rolls. The tree leaves were green fruit roll ups. The coconuts were Whoppers. Monkeys held bananas (Runts) and bananas were in the trees. The invitations were bananas. The party invitation was printed on manilla card stock with yellow felt glued over the bottom. Guest had to peel the banana (felt) to read the invitation. We used brown tablecloths and yellow balloons. We also used yellow plates & yellow napkins. There were monkeys hanging from the backyard gate & from the trees. The food tables were in a U-shape. In the center of the tables was a 5-foot tall inflatable monkey holding a balloon. The kids jumped in a inflatable castle (which was also the birthday boy's gift) & hit a monkey pinata for activities. In the center of the gift table
