My husband and I wanted to celebrate our daughter's 1st birthday really well, so we decided to do a jungle theme! The jungle theme was perfect for all ages and we had kids from 1 years to 13
years old. Our guest list was about 120 including adults and kids. We found a reasonable price banquet hall with a great location to most of all our guests. The hall was big enough for 120
people to sit comfortably. The invitations were of jungle theme that I purchased from a Walmart store for $2.99 for 20 invites. I needed less than 40. I met most of my guests at a party a
month before, and thats where I passed out my invites. Rest of the invites, I mailed to my guests. The hall was decorated with animals cutouts and jungle themed helium balloons. We brought
and borrowed fake trees to decorate the hall. We had found plastic murals of cocanut trees that made the room look like a jungle. We had infalated monkeys, palm tree with monkey center pieces
for our colorful covers on the tables. We also put yellow balloon weights with colorful balloons on every other table. We had more jungle animals decorations such as door murals, lion pinata,
and pin the tail on the monkey game. We had the birthday cake table covered with themed jungle table cover. We also had a homemade jungle photo stand. We drew a lion, zebra and elephant on
poster boards and colored it. We opened a card board box in the middle, so we can put the pictures of the animals on three sides. We cut out holes in the animals faces, so then the kids could
put their faces in them for pictures. The whole thing cost probably ten dollars. We rented a elephant costume, and my brother wore it for a while when we needed him to. We also hired a clown
who kept the kids entertained. We played musical chairs on jungle music, such as In the Jungle my sign in book for guests and my card and money box (We usually get money in envelops on first
birthdays which I did get). The snacks were animals cookies and popcorn and we had jungle theme cake and favors were made separate for girls and boys with jungle toys and more. We also had a
raffle where kids got animal head sticks with numbers on them. I called out four winners.
I got a lot of my party supplies from Card and Party store Dollar tree and Party city. We had food catered for the adults and pizza for the kids. It was a lot of fun and every one is talking about our next party next year!! "
