I had a ladybug party for my daughter's 1st birthday. For the decorations I cut out daisy's out of paper and added ladybug stickers and hung them around the house. I painted the tops of baby
food jars to look like ladybugs and filled them with M&M's and added a tag that said "A BIG thanks from a little lady." Theses were decorations and favors for the guests to take
home.
We ate fruit from a watermelon cut to look like a lady bug and ladybug cupcakes. I made the invitations to look like ladybugs and used a brad fastener to make the wings open to reveal the party info. For favors the kids got bags with a stuffed animal ladybug, bubbles with the lid painted like a ladybug and a ladybug picture frame made from plastic canvas. The adults got a bookmark that had a picture of the "little lady" on it. The finishing touch was a onesie that my husband decorated with an iron on decal that said "This little Lady is 1 (cutie pie) for her to wear while eating her cake. To keep the older kids entertained I read a story "Ladybug's Birthday." I also created a ladybug beanbag game. I made a leaf out of felt and found ladybug beanbags at the $1 store. The kids had to try to toss the ladybug on the leaf.
