For my daughters 3rd birthday we decided to do something a little different. She loves ladybugs so we thought that would be a fun them to go with. We dressed her up as a ladybug in some pajamas we found. We made antennas out of black pipe cleaners for all of the girls.  We decorated in black and red and found some ladybug balloons at a local party shop.  I also painted some ladybug whirlygigs from the craft store and put them in clay pots for decoration.  The party was outside in our back yard. For an activity we bought petunias from K-mart and clay pots and put potting soil in a wheelbarrow and let each of the girls plant there own flower to take home. We also had small ladybug flower pot sticks painted for each pot (from craft store). We then played a bean bag toss game.  I made a large leaf from green felt and five ladybug bean bags from red and black felt. The girls had to see how many ladybugs they could throw on the leaf. For refreshments we had cupcakes decorated like ladybugs and red punch with a black licorice straw.  The girls got to take home a decorated bag with goodies and ladybug stickers as well as there flower pots and antennas.  We had alot of fun with this party.
