Lego Bionicle: My son for his 8th birthday wanted a Bionicle Party. After much searching, I found that Birthday Express had JUST come out with party supplies for Bionicles.  I purchased plates, napkins, the goodie boxes, stickers, and invitations from them and filled in with other items in coordinating colors.  I used a solid yellow table covering, purchased their mylar balloon with Bionicle on it but then took it to a local place and added in solid colors to coordinate for a wonderful and less expensive display. Drinks throughout the evening were just capri suns which made things easy and clean up even easier.  My son put together most of his Bionicles which we used to decorate nearly everything---from the cake to the tables.  We took the remaining tub of Bionicle parts and directions and put it in the center of our floor for early arrivers.  For the cake, I made chocolate and iced it in chocolate and served it on a rectangular piece of counter top that I had covered in aluminum foil.  After putting the "Happy Birthday" greeting on with a stencil and colored sugar, we put a Bionicle on each of the four corners of the counter top--posed partially on and partially off the board with the cake.  We used extra stickers and put them on the yellow table cloth and I had a couple extra goodie boxes so we cut out the Bionicle pictures from those and punched out the smaller circular masks and used those as confetti on the table.  We used coordinating streamers all over. Covered out coffee table, decorated it, and moved it to the edge of the room for gifts.  For games we played a guess the traitor game, and did a disk hunt. For goodie boxes, I had purchased the stickers from BE, got the "lego" candy from the candy store in the mall, put into small cello bags, purchased the Lego disk and launcher for each person (about $1.80 each). We began with supper (pizza), did games, had cake and ice cream, opened gifts, played another game of hide and seek in the house, and then turned off the lights and watched the new Bionicle II movie. I wanted bigger "bowls" for popcorn, so I purchased some of the "throw away" gladware type bowls--in green since it was close to Christmas. I served the popcorn in that and we had glow bracelets to wear since the lights were out.  While they were winding down, I had taken the remainder of the cake and cut it into enough portions for each child, put it into their "popcorn" bowl--which comes with a lid, and that was a goodie for later. They loved it, and I never thought it possible, but it was actually quiet during a 8 year old's party with 6 friends--all boys--for about 1 hour!  The party was from 5-9 and it was a great success!  I found in my research, that there was no other place that had Bionicle items other than Birthday Express outside of actually purchasing the Bionicle legos which would have been much too expensive for goodies.
