My niece turned 8 this year, and we made her a glamorous makeover party. The invitations were made to look like purses. To make the purses: I used purple cardstock. i folded a 12x12 piece of cardstock in half. Then I used a triangle template to help. I put the triangle slightly below the folded part, about 1/2 you can make 2 purses with each 12x12. I cut it by this time it should look like a diamond. I folded it back up and established the front of the purse and cut the top part about 2 1/2" down. The back part cut about 1 1/2" down. I folded it over and put a little piece of double stick tape to close lt. I opened it back up and on the left and right side I put double stick tape. I got some pink mariboo it's a thin feather boa and hot glued it on the left & right sides (front and back) and on the bottom except the top. I put pink ribbon at the top for the handle. I printed out in pink cardstock:___________? is turning 8 Do You Want To Live The Glamorous Life? The fun begins at: day time and place. At the bottom I put: girls bring your most glamorous outfit! On the back of the pink cardstock I put double stick tape. I opened the purse and put the pink cardstock in the middle of the top and bottom of the purse on the inside. So when you open the purse you will see the invitation.  At the party: When the girls got there I took a picture of them for the before shot. I had 3 stations set up that read; nails hair and makeup. I had alot of help from friends and family. Then in the dining room I had my photography equipment set up to do glamorous pictures. If you don't have equipment you can use a digital camera and download onto the computer it works just as good. The girls loved taking the pictures they had fun. Finally in the living room where the stations were we had a runway. My dad made it from plywood. From the dining room where the girls were getting their glamour shots I hanged curtains so you can't see the living room. In the living room I set up about 25-30 chairs around the runway. We called up the parents and family members to come see a glamorous fashion show around 8:00. The show was a hit! Afterwards we sang Happy B-day and ate cake. Some girls spent the night. They took more pics and we ordered pizza.
