For my 13th birthday I had a makeover party! I invited about 13 girls so there were 14 including me. My mum was worried that they would mess up the house so I put up signs like "Please take your shoes off" and "Staff only" signs for out-of-bounds rooms. DECORATIONS: Streamers, balloons and signs that said "Welcome to Natalia's Beauty Parlour" and stuff like that. ACTIVITIES: First everyone arrived. Then my dad took pictures of us with the video camera- the "before" pictures. After that we sat down at the kitchen table. On the kitchen table there was nail polish, lipstick, lip gloss, glitter, eyeshadow, hair styling stuff and more. Everyone did each other's hair and make up. My friend's mum, who is a beautician, came too, and she helped us and showed us how to apply make up properly. It was really funny because some of my friends did moustaces on themselves, but they washed them off. I also had mirrors on the table so we could see ourselves. I also asked each girl to BYO hairbrush because I wouldn't have enough. Then after we finished with the make-up, we had a fashion shoot. I had made a catwalk in our lounge room out of towels on the ground. There were also some judges- my mum and my mum's friends- and after the shoot they gave out badges like "Most outrageous" "Most beautiful" "Most terrible (no offense)" etc. My dad filmed all of this. Then we went outside to have lunch- pizza, chips, lollies and cake. The cake was one I made myself. It was a marble cake with chocolate icing and M&Ms on top. Then we opened presents and we watched the fashion shoot video, which was really funny. The girls all went home with lip gloss. This party was sooooo much fun!
