A birthday for an 11 year old maturing girl is tough to pull off. We love to watch The Look for Less" show on the Style Network with Yohanna. So we sent invitations to all the girls
stating "She's (birthday girl's name here)...and you're Yohanna! Come the The Look for Less Overnight Birthday Party." Each girl was instructed (along with overnight necessities) to
bring a photograph or picture (from magazine advertisement computer image hand drawn etc.)of a "show-stopper outfit." The party starts at 8 PM with cake and snacks. Then they get
their party favors which are filled with beauty supplies in a cute cosmetic bag. They use these to give each other make overs and manicures and/or pedicures. (We picked up nail art at the
local $1 store and funky nail polish. We also included make up and lotions. It can be whatever your tastes and budget allow.) After make overs the girls will eat snacks and watch movies into
the night...maybe The Devil Wears Prada. They were warned in the invitation that they would be doing a lot of everything except sleeping. The next morning...breakfast made by Dad. The girls
get ready for a trip to the mall. The birthday girl picks her favorite outfit supplied by the party attenders and all the girls are off to the mall to recreate the outfit (for the birthday
girl) on a smaller budget (supplied by the parents) and an allotted amount of time. (Parents need to keep a distance keep their opinions to themselves and keep a watchful eye on the girls to
ensure their safety.) After all the purchases are made it's back to the house for a late lunch and a photo shoot with the birthday girl in her new outfit. They'll all have time to spruce up
and be included in the photos which will be included in the girls' thank you notes. For the photo shoot the floor of the room is entirely filled with inflated balloons (non helium so they
will stay grounded). After the girls leave the birthday girl gets to show off her new look at the family party that evening.."
