For my duaghters 6th birthday party I asked her what she wanted to do. She said she wanted a shopping party,of course, I know this was going to be exspensive so I allowed her to have her one favorite friend come. Invite--just call them over the phone and tell them about the surprise. We met the little girls  mother at the parking lot at Wal-Mart because we were close friends also. Us mothers exchanged phone numbers and the put susie's" things in our car. "Susie's" mom left after sneaking her bag back into their car and I gave each of the girls a gift card I had picked up earlier that morning. To give them privacy I walked over to the section next to where they were shopping-girls. Here's the catch they had $30 to buy every thing they needed for the night even my daughter( I hid her things while my husband took her out for breakfast). At home the living room was all deacked out in blue-her favorite color so the challenge was they had to get the things on my list. Remember Lisa the birthday girl hasn't been home all day so she has no idea what's going on. I let them shop for about five minutes and then go up to them and say " Hey out of the blue I came up with a great idea" and hand them the list. EXAMPLE: Here's a little riddle. It will take great minds to fiddle but once you figured it out you'll know what the party's about! Buy blue-     shirts    pants    and anything else you'll need to survive our jungle at home! When they were finnished I appeared and told them they had one minute to get the checkout counter.Waiting for them was the cashier who I had aleady talked to. she was going to pretend to have a bunch of problems while cheking them out: the register breaking not having the right change talking on and on so finally I say sorry girls but you didn't complete the challenge. They begged for more time and got it. At the end I told them it was all a joke and gave them each a certificate saying they were honorable shoppers of the year. Next we went back to my house where they were both surprised. To start with Lisa freaked out but then thought it was totlaly awesome! They made their own pizza and created their own sundas stayed up late watching movies and when they fell asleep my husband and myself panted their toes with blue face paint. When they woke up they were really mad but them discovered the huge buffet we made the mand got over it quickly. "Susie" went home later and got to keep the stuff she bought. Her keep sake was a huge pair of blue sun glasses I had painted on them saying: shop 'til ya drop***! It was amazing and Lisa said next yearshe wants to do it again."
