My 2 year old son LOVES Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. So obviously we knew that would be the theme for his party.
Invitations: I cut out Mickey's head in black card stock. I wrote Meeska Mooska Mickey Mouse. Come and Play in Hayden's Clubhouse. With games food and cake galore. There's lots of fun in store." Then listed all pertinent info. I mailed the invites in red envelopes and closed with a Mickey Mouse sticker. Decorations: The front of our house has 4 columns so I draped red black and yellow streamers between each one. Where they connected to the columns I taped a Mickey head also out of black card stock. Each column also contained 3 balloons. On the front door I cut letters in all different colors for a sign that read "Welcome to Hayden's Clubhouse." Inside I reused some decorations from his first birthday. They were these metallicy hangy things that had #1 at the end. To match the theme I cut out more Mickey heads from black card stock and replaced the 1's with the Mickey heads and placed them throughout the party area. On the dining table I used the Mickey Mouse table cloth with 2 set of balloons. I used these cute red balloon holders I found at the dollar tree. The food table also had the table cloth with 2 sets of balloons. I used the Mickey mouse napkins with either a red or yellow napkin. I wrapped those around the forks and secured them with either red or yellow ribbon (opposite color from the solid napkin.) I cut out some small Mickey heads and those were tied with the ribbon around the forks. Food: I made his cake my self. It was chocolate with white butter cream. I used those edible Mickey mouse decorations I found at walmart. They were Mickey Heads with each character in each. I used 6 along the top with a 2 candle in the middle. I used another 6 along the sides with mickey head shaped candies. It turned out really well. I used the little ice cream cups and they were the perfect size. Each character had their own dish. I printed the titles and pasted them to back card stock and taped the dish name to the tablecloth. There was Mickey Mighty Fingers (chicken fingers) Pluto's in a blanket (pigs in a blanket) Donald's cheese and quackers (cheeseball with crackers) Goofy's garden veggies (veggie tray) Daisy's fruity salad (fruit salad) and Minnie's mini mix (Chex mix in mini muffin papers.) I had boxed drinks for the kids and a wonderful yellow punch for everyone else. Games/ Fun: There were really no games. My son has a big playground in the back yard so the kids stayed out most of the time. They did have bubbles and sidewalk chalk. I sent each child home with a goody bag that included silly straws coloring pages printed from playhousedisney.com crayons mickey stickers and fruit roll ups. It turned out so well and everyone especially my son had a wonderful time!"
