For my daughter's third birthday we did a Minnie Mouse theme as she was always dressed up like her anyway. We used the Minnie Mouse plates, cups, and invitations in which she is wearing a
yellow polka dot dress. The birthday girl wore a dress just like it made especially for her by her grandmother. We decorated the house in pink balloons and yellow ribbons and I used a
character pan to make a Minnie Mouse cake all to match the dress and colors of the paper products. For food we served everything cheesy! I made cheese puffs that I piped in the shape of
Minnie Mouse's head. We also had cubed cheese, cheese crackers, and cheese sandwiches. The kids loved the theme of the food and actually ate at the party. I divided up the finger foods in two
black plastic bowls and one large plastic black tray that I arranged on the table to resemble a mouse's head. When each guest arrived, we had a little corner set up so that each child could
get whiskers and a nose drawn on (we used black eyeliner). Then they moved on to the next table where we had yellow paper bags and an assortment of foam letters (so they could personalize
their bags) and Minnie Mouse stickers to decorate their bags with. When all the guests had arrived, the mice went on a cheese hunt to earn their ears. We cut up styrofoam in wedges and
painted them with craft paint to look like cheese. Then we hid the cheese wedges around the house and let the mice sniff them out. When each child had collected 4 pieces of cheese (you can
adjust the number of wedges per child based on age and number of guests) in their bag they claimed a set of ears (felt Minnie Mouse ears with a pink polks dot bow from a local party store for
the girls and I had to make Mickey Mouse ears for the boys by improvising on headbands). The ears along with a souvenir Minnie cup and an individual bag of cheese crackers served as their
goodies which they took home in the bags they had decorated. It was a wonderful party and the kids loved being in character. The face painting and ears made for the most adorable group
