Disneyland Birthday Party: This is a theme for a Disneyland Party, and you should probably do it in the summer. I am not going to suggest an age range, because it really depends on what the
kids are interested in. The first part of this idea is the rides. Obviously, Disneyland is too big to fit every ride into your house, so choose what you think the kids would have the most fun
with. For kids ages 8-11, I chose the following: IT'S A SMALL WORLD: We have a pool, but you can make this ride work just as easily using a wagon or something similar on land. If you do have
a pool, I suggest dividing it in half, because the other half will be used for something else. Those with pools and kids will probably have some kind of floatation device, but if not you can
buy cute little whales and turtles almost anywhere. There are two ways to make people. The easiest is cardboard. The other way is to stuff some cloth full of cottonballs and then make
clothes. Some people that kids will remember from the ride are: Spanish dancers, Egyptian princess, mermaids, hula dancers, and surfers. At the end make those giant cardboard postcards that
are on the ride. JUNGLE CRUISE: This is what the other half of a pool can be used for. For a waterfall on this ride, take a hose and drape it over a pile of stones. Animals are very hard to
make, so here are some ideas. Snakes are very easy: buy rubber snakes. For hippopotami, take a brown sack and stuff it with pillows. Then fasion a head out of googly eyes on a paper bag
stuffed with cotton balls. You can buy little jars of plastic fish at some places. Place the fish in the water. Take advantage of what ever stuffed animals you have for this. SPLASH MOUNTAIN:
This is a VERY hard ride, as it requires you to have a lot of parts. Everything can be done without the parts, so it is very easy if you don't have this stuff. For the drop, if you have a
slide you can stick the hose into that is terrific, buf if not, you can buy the inflatable kind. At the end of the drop MAKE SURE TO PUT A LITTTLE KIDDIE POOL. If not, you might have some
injuries. After the drop, leave kids in their floaties and send them down a slip n slide. Play "Zipidee Doo Dah" All throughout the ride. For scenery, add bunny, bear, and fox
stuffed animals. For the Laughin Place, (those of you who have ridden will remember) make a mobile with bees, and buy some purple lights. SPACE MOUNTAIN: This is a tough one. Cover your
area with black tarp. Cover a wagon with black and silver construction paper. This is operated by a rope and pulley system so to make it jerky. Make yellow dots on the inside of the tarp and
pull the person around. Never having ridden this, I cannot include more details, but you are free to add them. STAR TOURS: Rent one of the star Wars movies. I reccomend number four or five.
Find a part in space with a lot of action. In front of your TV, put five or six chairs and attach them with rope. Pull the rope back and fourth at the right times. TIKI ROOM: Set up a room
with lots of stuffed birds and cardboard birds. Play the tiki room music. Since this can be rather boring, try playing a game of pass the parcel during it. MAD TEA CUPS: Get the largest sized
sit n spins you can find. Try to fix them up like tea cups. you can figure out the rest. CAFE: The Peter Pan Cafe: This will have a lot of snacks with Disney twists: Mickey mouse ice cream
bars, pizza strips making a {"D", and so on. DECOR: Put a lot of Disney movie posters and golden streamers. Make paper "50"'s to hang up everywhere. MISC: You can usually
get cake with Disney characters. Have pizza and the traditionals. For favors, buy some Disney packs from Birthday express and mix them together. HAVE A GREAT PARTY!!!!!
