For my daughter's 3rd birthday, we decided on a Minnie Mouse Club House Party.
Invitations were made as shape of Minnie's head w/the classic red/white polka dotted ribbon. Everyone commented on the the invitations, it was really cute, simple and classic. As for decorations, we decided to have it in the back yard. We made flower ballons to place all around the back yard which was attached on a stick and wrapped w/green streamers for the stem and pushed into the ground. I wanted to get the effect as if it was Minnie's backyard. I also made a red w/white polka dot banner which was hung on the tree. I made cookie tulips on a stick and inserted a bunch in a pot as centerpieces. We made mini white fences to go around the pot. The tables were green table cloth to get a garden feel. For entertainment, I got 2 craft activities that reflect summer and we also had face painting. I didnt go with a pinata, instead had a mini candy buffet, I printed out all the characters and taped it on the jars, each jar had a different color candy matching the character's outfit. Minnie had pink candy in her jar, Mickey had red candy..etc. For party bags I made them w/the the brown paper lunch bag and decorated the outside w/Minnie ear and the bag read Bailey's 3rd Birthday. The goodies consist of mini coloring book, crayons, mickie's card game and mickie yoyo and the candy the kids collected from the buffet. For cake I just had cupcakes as it was the easiest. Food was catered by a friend. While we had crafts and food time, kids did not know we were having a special guest. Mickey and Minnie joined the party where I found a local place in the phone book for them to come for 45 minutes. The kids took pictures, had a dance part and mickey did balloons for all the kids. This was a really great party, the kids and even adults had a blast!
