Disneyland Character Dinner  We had my daughter's first birthday party at the Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel. It was an all you can eat buffet with characters.  For an extra charge you could add Mickey Mouse plates, cups, hats, balloons, etc. As much as you wanted. We also ordered a small cake only for the birthday girl, because the buffet have several desserts.  Not only did the characters pay extra special attention to my daughter, but periodically the would have the kids come up and sing and dance. Upon entering, the kids could get a professional picture taken with Minnie Mouse. This idea worked great for us because we were living in LA and were fairly close to the park. It was a little pricey, but worth not having the hassle of having everyone at our house. It was great for an extra special birthday, like a 1st. The best part was there was no clean up.  Everyone made their own arraignments and stayed at the hotel that night, and we all went to Disneyland the next day.  What an event everyone had to remember.
