When my daughter turned one, we made her a Disney party. We ordered the invitations shaped like a castle.  The cover read Please join in Disney fun as Kassandra Paulyna turns one!  I picked 12 different movies and decorated 24 tables. Two were of the same theme.  I bought extra dessert plates of each movie and glued them back to back and glued them to a square piece of Styrofoam and added tissue paper. Those were the centerpieces.  I also made all the different Disney candy molds as lollipops. After I had molded all the candy, I used the same molds, but I added plaster of Paris and made Disney magnets.  I used a projector and drew Simba without a tail, and made lots of tails and we played pin the tail on Simba. I also got an old refrigerator box and painted it blue and drew the picture of Ariel with flounder. My husband sat in the box and we made two fishing poles, one with red yarn for the girls, and one with blue yarn for the boys, they had cloths pins at the end, and my husband attached prizes for them to fish out.  I had a local lady make a piñata shaped like the castle, and we played musical chairs to the music from the Main Street Electrical parade. I made felt Mickey and Minnie shaped party bags.  My daughter was dressed like Minnie Mouse with a costume from the Disney Store.  At the time, Hercules had just been released and I ordered everyone Happy Meals and they each had a toy from Hercules.  I also found some great Mickey Mouse canteens as prizes. My sister bought a ball shaped cake mold and only made half and she put on its flat side and added ears and made it like a Mickey Mouse Club hat. She put that on top of pillars and made a flat half sheet and we bought all the other characters and placed them all around the cake.  The kids had a great time, and so did my daughter.
