DISNEY PARTY For my twins 3rd birthday we had a Disney Party. I made invitations with black and red cardstock paper.  I found a die-cut from a scrapbook store that had a boy and a girl holding hands with Mickey Mouse ears on. It was perfect.  I printed the invites using a Disney Font that is available free on the internet.  (Freeware). I then attached the die-cut to the invite and used a Mickey Mouse paper punch to decorate the corners. My invitation read:  Mickey and Minnie would like to say, Please Join us for this special day, Brandon and Becca are turning 3, and we're celebrating with a Disney Party. I then had all the party info on the paper.  People were excited to come just from the invitation. As people arrived, we had all sorts of Disney music playing in the background.  We had a Disney CD with the basic songs (i.e.. It's a Small World, When you wish Upon a Star, etc). and we put some Disney movie soundtracks on like the Little Mermaid and the Lion King.  I couldn't believe how everyone knew all the songs. I decorated the house with red, yellow and black balloons. We had too many balloons which made everything look very festive.  We played adult games and kiddie games. The 1st adult game was a Disney Spelling Bee.  I handed out a sheet with 12 pictures of movie characters and everyone had to write down who they were - and spelling counted. When I handed them out they all thought it was going to be so easy, but they didn't realize that spelling counted. I had characters such as The Cheshire Cat, Cruella De Vil, Quasimodo, Pumbaa, Rafiki, Mufasa, Ariel, Pocohontas, Lumiere, Baloo, Geppetto.  The 2nd adult game was a Disney Word Scramble. I scrambled up 20 characters and they had to unscramble the names. Not one person got all 20 right. The 3rd adult game was a Trivia Game. I gave out a sheet that had questions relating to Disney like, what the 1st animated feature, name the 7 dwarfs, Match the Disney area (i.e.. Magic Kingdom, Epcot, MGM, etc) to it's acreage. (Found on the internet). And other questions like this. People said this one was a little hard, I should have made it multiple choice. They did have fun trying to guess, though. Ok, the kids games were as follows - not as complicated. We played "Hot Mickey" - of course, just like hot potato but with a Mickey Doll.  We also played Disney Princess Bingo (Game found at a party store).  The 3rd kiddie game was a Disney Freeze Game. I gave everyone a Mickey Echo Microphone (I found them on an auction site) and they had to sing and dance until I turned the music off. The kids loved the microphones and they all got to keep them. My kiddie games prizes were all Mickey Mouse Themed - Mickey Yahtzee, Mickey Matching Game, Mickey Hand Musical Rattles, Mickey Magic Books, etc. I couldn't find a Mickey/Minnie favor that I liked for the favor bag, so I just made sure that I included a Mickey Fruit Roll-Up in the favor bag to have something Mickey in there. The tags for the bags were all printed with the Mickey Font and decorated with the Mickey Paper Punch.  My twins were actually Mickey and Minnie last Halloween, so my daughter wore her Minnie costume for the party. (Glad I got 2 wears out of the costume). My son outgrew his costume so we had him in a Mickey outfit with his ears on. Everyone had a great time at the party!!
