july 4 party,  country's birthday- we have a big picnic every year, friends and family.  we do games every year. we hang popsicles from the tree for the kids to eat (just like the donut game) also i have a big box of clothes, the kids get to decorate my three scarecrows.  this year we all wore nametags, you could not say the word blue. who ever got you to say that word, got your pin. we had some small children with a dozen or more nametags. then we had a slip and slid game.  used a big role of plastic, put empty soda bottles at the end. poured some soap on the plastic, with water. the kids would slide down and knock over the bowling pins.  loved it  one more game, sponge sling shot- made sling shots, and soaked sponges (cut up in small squares) the kids had to get them in the buckets. no prizes at these picnics, only fun.  going on 5 years, having these picnics. they keep coming back!  love it!
