My daughter Kelsey really loves Anime. It's always been tea parties and such so I didn't really know. For the invitations I found images of her favorite animes (death note, ouran high school
host club, full metal alchemist etc.) and made it into a collage. I photocopied it and she gave them to her three anime-loving friends. I found multi-colored baloons and blew them up. I alo
found more pictures of her favorite animes, blew them up and put them on the wall. She also has Death note and Full Metal Alchemist figurines that we put on the table. When her guests
arrived, I just had to take pictures because Kelsey's friends (and her!) had cosplayed as their favorite characters. Lilly was Ichigo from Tokyo Mew Mew. Tyler was Light Yagami from death
note. Kazu was an ouran high school host club member. Kelsey decided to be Misa Amane from death note to match her boyfriend (Tyler). I awared each cosplay (funniest, most detailed, coolest
etc.) I made several Japanese dishes for them to eat. Onigiri (rice triangles with a filling and seaweed wrapped around it). Tamogoyaki (sweet rolled egg). A tray of fruit cup into cool
shapes. For the cake, it was a vanilla sheet cake with L (from death note) figurine. I wrote on the cake 'Happy birthday, otaku-girl'. Otaku means a person that loves anime :) We played
bobbing for apples (Ryuk from death note loves apples) and we also played video games. The goodie bags was a white paper bag with everybody's name on it. It was filled with a rainbow
lollipop, an death note figurine (assorted), death note pins (from fye), some kitty stickers, and a sampler manga (everyones was the same). Kelsey's friends still remembers this party now.
