For my daughter's 3rd birthday party I decided to go w/something creative and inexpensive. What better theme than crayons!! For the invitations I bought colorful invites and mailed them
out. I asked everyone to wear something colorful. I used solid blue, green, yellow, orange, purple and red for decorations. Ex. The tables varied in color green table cloth with a blue
9in paper plate, purple smaller plate, orange eating utensils, and a yellow cup. I was able to take a close up picture of my daughter and edit it on my computer software so that it looked like
a black and white picture out of a coloring book. On the top of the picture were the words COLOR ME"in a kid friendly font. The pictures were
placed on tables as place mats under the colorful arranged plates. I bought a jumbo box of crayons and sprinkled them on each of the tables so that your guest can color the photos. The center pieces were yellow paper gift bags decorated w/a huter green marker to look like a crayola crayon box on both sides of the bag. I put my daughter's name in the center instead of crayola. The center piece bags were filled w/home made white chocolate candy crayon molds on a stick.I used a variety of colors so it would look like a box of crayons. You can get the green blocks used to hold the artificial flowers from the dollar store. Insert the stick of the candy down into the block so it can stan straight up and place in the bag. 3-4 Solid latex Balloons w/helium were tied to the handles of the bags to complete the centerpiece. I was able to find large paper crayons to post along the walls. I doubled solid colored streamers through out the room. I even hung a rainbow door curtain. I had a clown entertain the children so I didn't have to come up with games for them. Festivity favors made scratch offs for the children with her picture (this was played at the party) and the winner received a $5 prize. For some creative ideas w/food you can do a jello rainbow. I cut the jello up in squares and arranged into a rainbow. I made crayola sugar cookies red yellow green and blue. You can also buy sugar gookie mix and food coloring to make your own colors.I used food coloring in the filling for the deviled eggs. I went on the website coolest-birthday-cakes.com and was able to find an easy to make crayon cake. For the doggy bags I bought the 24boxes of 4pk of crayola crayons off of their website. I had festivity favors create personalized labels for the crayon boxes w/a picture of her and the words "Thanks for coloring my party with fun!!" I had mini coloring books mugs w/straws you can colorcrayon bubbles the mini colorful swirl lollipopsand colorful punching balls in the bags. The doggy bags were assorted solid colored cellophane bags tied w/colorful ribbon. "
