My daughter's 9th party was a fashion show party.  I had the 14 girls bring their own outfits (beachwear, diva/popstar and pjs). I had made a runway with a red carpet runner in which I attached rope lighting around. I had hung foil curtains from local party store (black and red) in which the girls, when called upon with real microphone, came through from my den into my living room onto the carpet where we set up chairs for the audience.  But, before the show, they needed to do their hair, nails and makeup.  Each girl was given their own personalized robe (local spa party center sold them to me), hair brush (Dollar Tree) and makeup brushes (MAC counter).  I had set up stations for them to have each done. (For nails, we used snack tables.)  I hung stars on each door in my house labeled as Powder Room, Closet etc. and if they were not to go in the room, it was labeled Agents Only or Boys Only for my son's room.  I also hung up posters of all pop stars which the kids loved. On one wall in the living room where the show was, I decorated it with a sign from Birthday Express and around it was their personalized stars.  I also got clipboards from Staples and made up modeling profiles for them to fill out with name/nickname, hair and eye color, favorite store to shop, favorite music and favorite hobby/activity which they filled out before the stations began (while the curling irons heated up). I bought a bouquet of flowers from the Dollar Tree and wrapped them with tissue paper and ribbon for them when they finished modeling. Took group pictures had them printed out and put them in frames before they left. They had pizza and decorated their own star cupcakes. The party was from 6:30 - 10:30pm. It was blast! I got really great feedback from kids and parents. The parents were very impressed with my decorating!  The invitation was a little purse foldup and inside I typed . . . Lauren's turning nine  Now here's your chance to look oh! so fine! Ask your parents to drive a mile Because it's Lauren's birthday " FASHION MODEL STYLE  Be prepared to walk the runway!  Bring your favorite: - Pop Star/Diva outfit - Beach or summer outfit, and - PJs and slippers (Remember your accessories too!)
