For his 6th birthday this month my son really wants Bakugan so here is our plan: The invites: We scanned my sons favorite bakugan card and on the computer added all his party info on one
side where the battle instructions were and printed it on a 4x6 card and laminated them so they looked like real cards. The decorations: since this is an outside (weather
permitting) party we are going to wrap the deck banisters and drape the fence in red and yellow streamers. There will be groupings of red and yellow balloons all around the yard. The
gift/goodie bag table has a bakugan store bough table cloth, the two tables we will be eating on have just plan yellow and red cloths. (saved about $4 by going plain colors) The plates are
half bakugan themed and plain red. I used shipping labels and made labels for the bottled water with the brawlers on it saying thanks for coming. The napkins were a mix of one pack bakugan
one pack yellow.
The games: Since this was an outside party the games were set out around the yard. We have a few red kick balls, put electric table on to make bakugan balls, they will be set out for when the kids get there so they can play kick ball or something, The first game is a sponge relay race where the two teams (brawlers vs. spectra's) will have to try to fill a bucket up first using a sponge with water. Next it will be a water balloon toss, where they will pair up stand face to face and take a step back trying to catch the water balloons (tons of fun to get parents involved too) Next it will be the battle brawl..we have 500 water balloons and squirt guns galore, pretty self explanatory. (be sure to put bring a change of clothing in the invites.) The goodie bags: I bought 100 plastic generic colored bags, hats and blowers from OTC. For this party I used the red and yellow ones. (We invited 22 kids) I used the same labels from the water bottles and stuck them to the bags hats and blowers. I put the bags and hats in the bags and the kids get to use the bags with the pinata, which I made, I just used a balloon and made a round pinata. I spray painted it red and painted yellow to look like a Dragos bakug ball (It came out neat!!) I filled it with candy and toys (Great pinata fillers on OTC) The cake: I made cupcakes, used a mellon baller with white frosting, used wiltons, color sprayed then added the attributes with food coloring -- turned out awesome and took 30 minutes!! The food: we have a BBQ with hamburgers, hotdogs, corn on the cob, potatos salad, and mellon balls (fitted the theme) Side note: if the weather is bad I spray painted a bunch of Styrofoam balls and will have the kids use card stock and make their own bakugans (cards and balls) then it will be pintata, and cake (not as fun but its a plan B)
