Boys 5th Birthday Party - BEN 10 theme.  No partyware available in stores, online supplies are very expensive.  We had 22 children attend the party, so a tight budget was kept.  Most things are homemade and dressed up with stickers or free pictures from the internet.  Invitations: Photograph of Ben 10 watch with second layer of spinning dial to reveal party information. Printed as photos at Big W, green scrapbooking brads to secure layers, magnet tape from K-mart so they will stick on the fridge. Decorations: 10x green plastic party tablecloths from Crazy Clarks.  I borrowed an OHP from work and drew the Ben 10 aliens on them and stuck them on the walls and fence. Green and Black balloons. Tableware: Black plastic tablecloths with lime green serving platters, plates, napkins, cups etc. Cake: Woolworths round sponge and slab sponge constructed into Ben 10 omnitrix and iced. Topped with a smashdown cake decoration brought on ebay as a keepsake. Activities: Pinata - Paper Mache Cannonbolt pinata. Made from 3 balloons and cardboard.  Pin the omnitrix on Ben - Using OHP drew Ben 10 and printed out omnitrix with double sided tape on the back.  Pass the parcel - Downloaded Ben 10 theme song as music. Small Ben 10 badges (bought online) with lollipop as individual prizes.  Alternate yellow and green wrapping paper.  I find with newspaper it's hard to figure out if the kids take off too many layers.  Final prize with everybody back in the game was a small Ben 10 toy. .  Masks - Using free pics on the internet, enlarged and printed out 6 types of Ben 10 masks. Pre cut and attached elastic before the party. Masks were Ben, Gwen, Lucky girl, Heatblast, 4 arms, Grey Matter.  Crayola whiteboard markers have the bigger surface pen and great for colouring in.  Party Hats - Yellow party hats with Ben 10 stickers for children to decorate. Favors: Party Cups - it is hard to find plain coloured bags especially around christmas, so found very cheap lime green ones and stuck on a Ben 10 sticker. Added a home made colouring book with free pics from the internet, used pirate balloon party blowers and stuck ben 10 sticker over the pirates. Curly straw, bouncy ball, bubbles, balloon and an assortment of wrapped lollies.
