The theme to one of my sleep over birthday parties was a "cool" party. We played a game where everyone sat in a circle and when it was your turn you had to say some slang word that more than 2 people agreed was slang. Like rad, dude, peace, hip, etc. If you said some thing some one else already said you were out. Everyone thinks its easy but its not! After you go around once its really hard to think of more. We also decorate scrapbooks and had a page all about the "cool" party. that was fun because everyone got to decorate there own with paints, glue, crayons, glitter. We played a game that went through the entire party. You tried to get a piece of ice down some ones shirt. By the time we had to go everyone had ice down their shirts. But before we went to bed we put 3 saltine crackers in our mouths at once and the first person to whistle won.  We also played Musical Statues- This is like Musical Chairs, but when the music stops, the players have to keep still. Anyone who moves, quivers, shakes etc is out. The winner is the last one still playing. We played Stuck in the mud - One person is 'IT' and has to run round touching as many people as they can. When they have touched someone, that person has to stop and stand with their legs apart and their hands out stretched, until someone crawls through their legs.  If you've been caught three times, then you are out.  The game ends when everyone left is standing still.   But the funniest game of all was: Balloon POP! - Divide the children into 2 or more equal teams and stand them in a line. Give each person 2 balloons. The children tie both the balloons to their feet. When you say GO! The children run as fast as they can and try and pop other peoples balloons but not any ones from their team. The team with the most balloons left after 5 minutes wins.  We also decorate pillow cases with puffy paint. We played card games like pit and rook. For dinner we had M&M's and spaghetti. We had a contest to see who could eat the spaghetti the fastest without using their hands! We didn't go to bed until 4 am! That was the best party ever and everyone agreed. That was 4 years ago and people are still talking about it!
