Cruise Line party for my 7 year old daughter. The invitations were a letter from a pretended travel agency explaining that to celebrate Melissa's birthday they were invited on board the
S.S. Meli for the crossing to the "Caribbean".
It also included cocktail, captain's night, games etc. With that letter they were given their boarding pass (exactly like a reel ont). I had crated Passports for everyone and our garage was the customs desk where they had their passports stamped (I had previously asked for a small picture for each child) before they got on board. I also had created a decor of the sea for pictures. Since they were on a hot weather cruise and they were warmly dressed (it was in March), I had painted a nice dress on for the girl passengers, a tuxedo for the boy passengers and of course the captain's uniform for the birthdayl girl on big posterboard that they put in front of them for the picture which was taken with a Polaroid. I also had made little frames in the shapes of lifebuoy to be taken home as a souvenir of their cruise. The passeports were stamped every time they got to a new destination. Games were also planned according to the island they were visiting. The kitchen was the ship and I had put white Christmas lights to create the shape of the ship that you see at night, I had lifebuoy attached to make it look like the bridge of the ship. The living room and basement were the islands. While on the ship between the islands, we had music and dance, drinks and food, games and pictures. It was a lot of work but very original and a lot of fun. Tks
