My son is turning 5 yrs old and LOVES Alvin and the Chipmunks!
After looking online for some party suppplies I was surprised to find that there were none! So, I've started planning and gathering my own stuff to decorate. First, I made INVITATIONS with a computer program I have with the front containg a picture of Alvin and the chipmunks with the text You're Invited to Rock!" overhead. On the inside left I put a picture of the chipmunks that could be colored by the invitee and on the Right I put all the party information. On the back I put Alvin with "Come Rock with Ian and the Chipmunks!" overhead. I also included a small box you can get at the $1 store of crayons for the kids to color their picture. DECORATIONS included movie posters I gathered from Walmart and also online and I posted them all over the party area. For streamer and balloon colors I went with the colors of the chipmunk's shirts Red Blue Green and Yellow (The "A" on Alvin's shirt). GAMES were pin the "A" on Alvin Where's Alvin (Alvin plays Hide and seek with the kids and the child who finds him screams "ALVIN!!!!" like Dave does.)? I also let the kids burn some energy by dancing to the Alvin and the Chipmunks Sound Track. FOOD was simple enough. for starters we had a fruit bowl peanut butter cookies cheese puffs and muffins. For main course we ordered Pizza. Then dessert ofcourse was cake and ice cream. I found someone on Ebay that makes edible cake sheets that they print a picture and personalise it for you and you just add it to a sheet cake. FAVORS were fun to think of. Most of the stuff I made. for party bags I bought cinch bags from OT and white cotton hats which I died red and added yellow "A's". In the bags I put copies of the Chipmunk movie sound track that the kids enjoyed dancing to a burned copy of an Alvin and the chipmunks cartoon from the 80"s available on DVD at Walmart or anywhere where movies are sold a picture that can be colored I printed off on the computer crayons a thank you note from Ian and a small Chipmunk movie poster. The kids had so much fun and loved the favors because they weren't small toys that eventually would be thrown away. Ian Loved his birthday party. I cant wait to see what theme I will do next year =0)!"
