for our sons 10th birthday we had the local canine police man come in full gear and accompanied by his police dog. he explained about police work, where the dogs come from and how they get chosen and what they do. at the end he had the dog perform some of the catching of the bad guy"  and showed how a sweet dog can become a very serious police dog taking care of business. the kids loved every second asked intelligent questions and sat still for a very long time at the end everyone stood together (incl. dog) for a picture and got the picture as a thank-you note incl. some more pix of the party. instead of a goody bag dad taught the boys yo-yo tricks and everyone got to take one home to steam off they jumped on the trampoline and through a waterballon fight. this party did not even cost $ 30. and I would do it in a heartbeat again!"
