A Day Out 6 year old girl party idea-  This year I get to plan my little cousin's 6th birthday! So we bought me and her matching dresses (on sale) and we are planinng on spending a day together. I'm trying to decide on a theme, so I am thinking of doing it purple and pink with something Sanrio (hello kitty, ect.) Since we will be driving around, I will decorate the inside of our van with purple and pink streamers. On our seats will be a decorated paper bag filled with sugar cookies (iced with pink and purple icing, of course) water bottle, and little snacks. Before hand, my mom (it's her gift to my cousin) will buy us matching dresses! I will buy my cousin a stuffed animal and one for myself.  I'm going to make coloring books too, by printing coloring book pages from sanrio, barbie and other places. I'll then make a cover (purple) and staple it. I'll get a pack of crayons too. So our plan is to pick her and her mom up one morning after breakfast. We will then put on our dresses and head off to get our hair done fancy. (Part of my mom's gift) Then we will go to a photo studio to get our photos taken together! After that we will change into regular clothes and go for lunch. We could go have a picnic at the park, (hot dogs, chips, drinks,) and have cake. I am thinking of making cupcakes, since they are less messy. Decorated with purple icing perhaps, or just white with sprinkles. After that's all done, we will go back to her house to play! We don't need to have games because it's a lot of fun anyways to go get pictures done. And she likes to play with stuffed animals.   The estimated cost is about: (not including pictures, hair and dress) $40.  This kind of party is good for a girl who's old enough to enjoy getting pictures taken, and yet still enjoys being a princess for a day! thanks!
