For my boy-girl twins first birthday, I chose the theme Double the Fun to be One". I found birthday shirts designed for twins on the site www.cookiebabyinc.com. The shirts featured
boy-girl twins with balloons presents confetti and the words - Double the Fun to be One. Their shirts were white with pink/blue sleeves and collars and all lettering in pink/blue. They wore
these at their party with bluejean shorts. Invitations- These were designed by me and sent to a printing shop for printing. The front featured a picture of my twins in their outfits and the
words Double the Fun to be One around the picture. On the inside it read- April 25th is here Can you believe its been a year? Double the diapers Double the baths Double the feedings
Double the laughs Now its time for Double the Fun Cause Brooklyn and Brice are turning One. It also included when and where the party would be and to RSVP.Decorations- Going with the theme I
chose to use a pattern that is called Happy Face on the birthdayexpress website and by some companies is called Birthday Boy/Girl. It is a pattern in pink/blue of a baby face boy/girl with a
happy first birthday party hat on. I used pink and blue as the colors. The tables were decorated with rotating plain pink and blue tablecloths. The centerpieces were framed 4x6 pictures of
the twins with a pink and blue balloon tied to the stand of each frame. The balloons featured the number 1 or Happy Birthday. The food tables featured one girl face and one boy face
tablecloth in the party pattern. The cake table feauted half girl face and half boy face tableclothes. Balloons were tied to the end of all other tables- cake presents momentos. Happy First
Birthday banners were used in the party pattern and in silver with pink/blue lettering. A momento table was set up with two plates-one with the picture of the girl party pattern and one with
the boy pattern for people to sign as a keepsake of their presence at the party. A seating area was also set up that read "A one year look at Brooklyn and Brice" with scrapbooks and
photo albums of the twins first year. Pictures were set up throughout the room of the twins professional shots taken. We had the party at our church fellowship center and there is a
white arbor in the middle of the room. The cake table was set up under this and the highchairs. The highchairs were also decorated with balloons and first birthday banners. We also used
plates and napkins in both party patterns and in plain pink and blue. Cake- The cake was two seperate cakes of a boy and girl baby face in the party pattern. They also each had a cake in the
shape of a number one in pink/blue.Food- We had a family party so we had hamburgers hotdogs and chips. Ice cream was served with the cake. Favors- I got this idea from this site! I used pink
and blue favor bags and filled them with Hershey's Kisses and Hugs candies. I made labels that read Thank you for sharing our first birthday Hugs and Kisses Brice and Brooklyn. Everyone loved
the party and thought it was a great theme for twins!!"
