DR WHO PARTY We had a Dr Who party for our daughter's 11th. Dr Who is very big in the UK, I dont know if it is in the US. We made one room really dark, and had a fog machine and
flashy lights and pictures of monsters up, this was the inside of the tardis. we then painted a box to look like the outside of the tardis, and all the children had to crawl through it
to enter. I was dressed as "the assistant" and Mick as "Dr Who".
the idea was that kids even of 11 like daft party games but might feel too grown up. So we pretended we were going to go back in time but the tardis malfunctioned and we ended up back at our daughters 7th birthday party. the kids had to crack a code to fix the tardis, every game gave a letter. que lots of party games and team races... pinata's like the monsters etc etc.. They all loved it and wanted to keep going back to the "tardis" and I kind of think a bit of them really wanted the lounge to fly to another time. They did really enjoy the fun games (pass the parcel, bingo, musical statues etc and the cryptic clues to say where the next code letter was, pin the nose..., etc..) and so did we. When the code was cracked (we used an old PC) we went back to 2006! The only party I have wanted to do again, and the kids described it as "cool".
