My daughter wanted to have a doctor party for her 5th birthday, I am a nurse so this one was easy for me to plan and fun I might add. I decided to make doctors orders be the invitation so I made them on the computer. I added her allergies as being her brother, sweat and dirt. The invites read: You are admitted to Bling Bling Medical Center due to Anna's 5th birthday, Diagnosis: medical party, Labs: party analysis and cake tester, Medications: hugs, kisses, and candy, Diet: All of Anna's favorite things, Activities: Crutch race, operation, and tickle tester, Please call my office if unable to attend and the numbers to call.  Anna signed and dated them as she would at the hosptial.  I also made thank you cards that were progress notes that we can check off the activities that each child completed. I got most of the decorations from the hospital where I work because they were expired so the hospital was not able to use them. My children wore uniforms and lab coats to the party. I purchased name tags and made each child a name tag with Dr. Anna with last names and made them each doctors like my daughter was a pediatrician my son was an orthopedic doctor and I was the director.  I had made one room in the house a triage room where each child went first and they were tested and question with silly questions and then they got a peice of candy and their name badge.  We played several games; the operation game and a crutch race.  We also had some stethiscopes that the kids used to listen to Anna's babies that breath or have a heart beat they enjoyed that.  We also sutured some old teddy bears or ours with a plastic needle and yarn. We had ace bandages for them to wrap each others arms or feet with. We served some of anna's favorite foods and had cake and ice cream. Each child had a party favor bag that had a first aid kit and hand sanitizer that i purchased at the dollar store and a 20 cc syringe without the needle from a farm supply store and filled them with m&m's.  Each first aid kit was personalized with their names on it to make them look like dr's bag. The kids really enjoyed this party and I think we might have inspired some young hearts to become Doctors or nurses when they grow up.
