For my son's 9th Birthday he wanted a movie themed party. This party was very simple and affordable. The best part was all of the kids had a blast. We made our invitations out of scrapbooking
paper. We went online and found some clip art that had a movie reel and a director's board (you know the black and white board take 2"). Then we used bright yellow & red paper
and placed the clipart on the front of the invitation and on the back across the top said ADMIT ONE. Ticket good for entry to Aaron's 9th Birthday and then had the time date ect. The day of
the party we had black poster made from poster board and painted in white paint "Now Showing" and the title of the movie we showed. As the kids came in they were each given a
plastic bag with their name on it and the baggie had fake money. I had blacked out all of the windows in the family room where we were showing the movie with newspaper and cleared all
furniture out of the way then put some pillows on the ground for them to sit or lay on. I made my kitchen into a concession stand and set up various types of candy fruit snacks juices and of
course popcorn. I found these mini popcorn buckets at a local party store and we popped microwave popcorn and filled the buckets. I also had a price list of how much evey item cost. Then as
the guest wanted a candy popcorn or drink they had to pay me from their bag of fake of money. The kids really enjoyed "buying" items at the concession stand. Instead of a cake
we did cupcakes that were all bright colors red yellow orange and blue and the store had movie reel picks that they put in them. This party was a great hit the kids loved "buying"
items at the concession standeveryone had a great time and I couldn't have done a better party on such a small price. The total party for 17 kids was under $100.00 "
