My daughter and son are 1 day apart in their birthdays. She turned 3 and he turned 4. We decided to do a Drive-n-Cinema at our house for their birthday. FUN! We first decided on the name
of the Cinema. B&H Cinema after the first initials in their names. We made an invitation w/a drive-n- movie picture and input a picture of the two of them on the screen. We requested
everyone to come to the cinema for a Special Feature Presentation" We pulled some Pictures of the movie we were showing and included them on our invitation.
They were asked to RSVP to the Production Manager. Date time Cars and Full concessions were provided. We included a ticket for the invited friend w/their picture and requested they bring it to the box office. (We had a box office set up for them). When they gave the ticket they were given play money to buy things at the concession stand. They were also given a drivers license with there name and something cute "Crazy Daisy Drivers Permit" along with their car that we had made for them using 20X14" box. We spray painted the boxes used black poster board for wheels placed a speaker box to each car made out of card board attached license plates to the back stating their name and picture. The girls had windmills on the back of theirs and the boys had racing stripes. The lights were made out of round bowls and big eyes placed in the middle. To keep them up we attached shoe strings from one end to the other so that they went on shoulders for the boys and used fuzzie feather boas for the girls. They were exscorted to our basement where they turned their money in at a concession stand. Hot dogs w/hot dog wrappers and popcorn in popcorn boxes. (Hobby Lobby) We projected the movie on to our wall using a projector and covered the windows w/poster board to block out the light. At the end of the movie we served cupcakes that looked like "popcorn Tubs" w/decorative sleeves. You can purchase the sleeves from Roundabouts. It makes it worth it for the entire look. Our kids had the best time and mothers were calling after the party saying their kids were so excited about their cars. It was a blast and the kids sat through the entire movie which is a bonus for me."
